A space to dig deeper into Sikhi.
Sikh University is a free, open online university — built so that anyone, anywhere can study Sikhi seriously, from authentic sources, at their own pace.
Why we created Sikh University
Sikhi is deep. Its history spans five centuries, its scripture holds the voices of the Gurus, the Bhagats, the Bhatts and devoted Gursikhs, and its philosophy speaks to the biggest questions of life. Yet for most people there has never been one welcoming, structured place to learn it — to move from a first question to real understanding.
We built Sikh University to be that place: a calm, organised home where a curious beginner and a serious student are equally welcome. No fees. No barriers. No sign-up needed to start learning. Just open, careful teaching — available to the whole world.

How it works
- Browse or follow a path. Pick a topic, search the catalogue, or follow a guided learning path.
- Learn at your pace. Work through lessons written in clear English, with key terms in Punjabi (Gurmukhi).
- Take notes & track progress. Make notes as you go, build a streak, and earn badges on your dashboard.
- Pass the test, earn a certificate. Score 80%+ to complete a course and unlock what comes next.
Together with the Sikh Archive
Sikh University works alongside the Sikh Archive — a growing library of Sikh sources, history and free courses. Our courses point you there to read deeper, and the two sites are designed to work hand in hand.

Accuracy is sacred to us. Many courses are drafted with AI to make broad teaching possible quickly, and every one carries a clear “Created by AI” label. All content is reviewed for accuracy, Gurbani is handled with reverence, and we welcome corrections — please use the feedback page to tell us anything we should fix.
