Accuracy is a release gate here, not a nicety. Each shabad embedded in a course is matched, at build time, against the canonical text of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. A quote that doesn't match — or cites the wrong ang — fails the build and cannot ship. These numbers are generated from that check, not written by hand.

How it works

  • Canonical source. The reference text is a committed snapshot of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from BaniDB. The check runs against that fixed snapshot, offline — never a live lookup — so the result is reproducible.
  • Fail-closed matching. Each quoted tuk is normalised (Unicode form, spacing, vishraam markers) and must appear in the canonical text of the ang it cites. Anything that doesn't positively match is not counted as verified.
  • Honest about coverage. This currently covers SGGS quotes. Quotes from Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Sarbloh Granth, and any ang not yet in the snapshot, are listed as not yet verified — never quietly counted as passed.

AI-drafted course prose is labelled "Created by AI" and is separate from this scripture check. Verification confirms the quoted scripture is faithful; it is not a scholarly endorsement of a course's interpretation.
