Faridkot Wala Teeka: The Royal SGGS Commentary

An advanced study of the monumental ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਵਾਲਾ ਟੀਕਾ — the first complete, officially-sanctioned commentary on the entire ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ. Commissioned by ਰਾਜਾ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਸਿੰਘ of ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ and completed under ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬਦਨ ਸਿੰਘ in the late nineteenth century, this nine-volume ਬ੍ਰਜ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ work shaped a generation of ਨਿਰਮਲਾ exegesis. The course traces its patronage, its team of scholars, its hermeneutical method, its ਵੇਦਾਂਤ-inflected doctrinal stance, its place within the wider history of Gurbani ਟੀਕਾ, and the controversies it provoked in the ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ era.
